I concur with Stefan that you should be checking out FreeCAD's projects.

We have had significant activity creating python bindings to BRL-CAD geometry 
in the past, but it’s not currently a priority we’re focusing on.  You’re still 
welcome to propose it, but you’ll have to come up with a *really* awesome 
proposal and an impressive patch (e.g., fix the ctypesgen problem)...  :)
