Hello Everyone!

I'm Krishna Reddy, a 3rd year Computer Science undergraduate student at
Hindustan University, Chennai, India. I love building websites and
problem-solving (competitive programming). Although I'm only posting now,
I've been listening to the #blrcad IRC (as kkrcodes) and following the
mailing list for a week now. I'm interested in the Materials Database
project and I've done extensive research on the web and mailing list
archives of all relevant discussions to understand the problem domain and
the requirements very well. I also set up the past project, hacked around
and identified several bugs in the application. I propose to
enhance/improve the existing project by solving the existing problems,
adding new features and take it to release this year.

I've detailed all the information in my proposal:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/17ciIY11ati7ID2-hfMFZ30xGUWI3XK6-HauSpUthQZw/edit#heading=h.nubw7v74paxo

I've also uploaded the draft to the GSoC portal for your comments. Please
feel free to comment so we can discuss and define the project in detail.

I'm fully dedicated to this project and I don't consider applying anywhere
else this year.

Mentors and community members, I welcome your thoughts and reviews on the
proposal, anything you would like to clarify or propose to add to the
feature list would be much appreciated. Please point out if any section
needs to explained further.

Also, Sean, I'd like to know if you'd recommend shortening the proposal or
if the level of detail looks good.

Thanks a lot!

Looking forward to your reviews,
Potential GsoC Student,
Krishna Reddy
