First some general comments:

- You should consider to post your patches at
https://sourceforge.net/p/brlcad/patches/.  Open a tread for your
project there and post your patches there successively.  This would be
the place to comment (e.g. by me) too.

- Although your code is portable you should follow the BRL-CAD coding
guidelines.  See the HEACKING file for them.

- You should implement a function which is intended to be called from
BRL-CAD.  Something like analyze_heal_bot(rt_bot_internal*).  This
would be the first step towards making your algorithm testable.

This should be enough to do for your next working day ;)
