I tried to install the latest and greatest BRL-CAD onto my Windows 7 machine and have encountered a few problems. Although I have admin privileges, it will not allow me to install on C: or C:\Program Files. I am forced to install into my user account, which is fine, but does not make a lot of sense to me.
After the install, I tried to make mged.exe the default application to open a .g file, however it is stuck on trying to open with Adobe Acrobat. I can open MGED and then browse to open a file, but nothing beats just double-clicking on the file itself. Any thoughts or suggestions? Bob Anderson
