It looks to me that RTTHERM has not been properly functional for quite some time. Please prove me wrong… After several hours inspection, it fails my quick maintenance cost-benefit analysis and is now a strong removal / scope reduction candidate.
Multispectral tracing is a significant and rare marketing point, but moot if it’s broken or costly to maintain without usership. Moreover, the implementation method — compilation state toggled by a preprocessor definition — is intrinsically costly to maintain without adding tests. Maintaining the feature increases the code’s cyclomatic and build system complexity. As it uses the rt animation script interface, it’s further impacted by that deprecation. If anyone is aware of ANY use historic within past 10 years or current, please speak up. I vaguely recall there being a publication, but didn’t find it in our bibliography. Cheers!
