Not a major concern. You can find most org’s GCI tasks publicly beforehand; we
just tell the students there are no guarantees what will be posted (or redirect
them towards other activities as I did week before last). You’re right that
the current repos don’t reflect what I had in mind.

Okay, I’ll work on setting Zulip up (and bridging it to IRC) so it can be a
single communication point for GCI.
