Thanks for the response, Daniel. You're quite right; it (eventually) fails with the same error, even when not doing a parallel build. I don't have any special CMake settings. I tried checking out trunk from SVN, so I could build that, but midway through a lengthy checkout process, the checkout failed with error 429: Too many requests.
Looks like SourceForge is too unreliable for me to use. Thanks for your help, but I'm afraid I don't have time for this and I'll just have to use a different CAD package.
