Message:
I'd like to add that AVG anti-virus reports that the current latest
version 7.22.0 is infected with "IDP.Generic.3CEAE297".
AVG doesn't report any infection in version 7.20.2 or 7.20.0.

Message:
All previous releases of BRL-CAD for Windows are available here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/brlcad/files/BRL-CAD%20for%20Windows/

Would you try one or two of the previous releases to see if it detects an
infection on the same anim_cascade tool (or any other tool)?

"That seems incredibly unlikely, but certainly warrants investigating.
Does
Comodo also report infection for other/previous releases of BRL-CAD too?"

It does seem unlikely, doesn't it? But there it is, false positive or
not...
I've never downloaded BRL-CAD before, so I cannot answer your question.
