Dobo, you need to have elevated user privileges to install software on
Linux via aptitude. Notice where it says "permission denied" and "are you
root?" in the output.
To "become root", you can run that same command through sudo to run it with
elevated privileges: sudo aptitude install sed byacc flex xsltproc
OR you can just download VirtualBox and our disk image where we've set
everything up for you. See http://brlcad.org/wiki/Deuces#Getting_Started
for instructions.
