Well you can do a lot more tweaks in this design to make it look awesome.
Consider the following things to get started
Use logo from http://brlcad.org/wiki/Logo. You can find some pretty good
versions of BRL-CAD logo from this page.
The eagle logo is pretty old, so it's not encouraged to use.
Keep in mind that facebook cover photo is of size 851px X 315px
Maintain consistency in your design, like don't use so many colors instead
use few colors and make a masterpiece.
Maintain the aspect ratio of images you use, if you need any help regarding
how to do this try searching on google or ask here in melange or the irc.
