Hi,

Logo 1 & 2
Logo 1
----------
This was my initial idea/approach to the design, minimal design with a
small icon above the text, but something felt off. I submitted a few flat
variants and a low-poly design with mock-up that looked okay but I did not
really know why it missed that special "something" to make it work.
Logo 2
--------
And then I remembered. My first encounter with BRL-CAD and their logos gave
me a single impression : They are not consistent. For example, take the
Adobe suite. Every logo looks alike the others, but that's what makes it a
suite. They all fit perfectly as parts of a whole, and they all have the
same approach to the design.
Creating the next logo from BRL-CAD's initial design was pretty simple, I
made sure to follow the front-end design guidelines and submitted it.
Obviously, I could put these logos on dozens of backgrounds or templates to
make them look better, but honestly I am impressed by the simplicity and
flow in the second logo, it's so simple but fits so perfectly.
Waiting for your feedback,
Greetings,
