This looks great, almost perfect, but I noticed that you removed the center
pins. I'd love to see what these versions look like with/without the center
pins, with ambient occlusion rendering turned on, from a top view, and with
the final png images having a transparent background.
If you want to take on another one of these tasks to continue in that
direction, please do. This is basically framing our next set of official
logo images, so work is needed to get a set of renderings with more optical
effects enabled. To get ambient working from within mged, you'll need to
escape the \{ \} brackets. To get it working outside mged, you'll want to
put the options in " " double quotes. To get a transparent background,
that's most easily done within an image editing program (adding a set of
tasks to implement a transparency option for our ray tracing apps).
