You should have used the other ones
Look at Sean's comment: "An object should only be marked a region if it's a
combination that represents a single material shape/object." And you
shouldn't use any other Boolean operation than "u" for groups (that's the
one the mged "g" command creates).
Ie good candidates for regions would be br_big and br_small as they
represent independent shapes of one material/color.
And you should have one group containing everything belonging to your logo
model. This could include a light ond background too.
