You're getting that message because you're posting to a Nabble forum
instead of directly to our mailing list. Nabble is merely a gateway
to the mailing list where they make the mailing list seem like a
forum, even though it's not. That basically means that you still
have to subscribe to the mailing list if you want to be able to post
to it. I believe Nabble provides that option here: http://
www.nabble.com/mailing_list/MailingListOptions.jtp?forum=3281
Alternatively, you can subscribe to the brlcad-users mailing list
directly on our Sourceforge project page here: https://

As to your question, the problem you're experiencing is fixed in the
latest version of BRL-CAD but a new binary hasn't been uploaded for
Mac OS X just yet. I anticipate we should have a new binary up soon
that fixes that problem. In the meantime, you can get it to work on
your own by compiling from a source distribution. There is a README
and INSTALL file in the source distribution that walk you through the
process. Hope that helps some.
