BRL-CAD's "MGED" geometry editor does have support for the SGI dial
and button boxes, but does not have native support for spaceball
controllers. You'd have to either describe the spaceball events as a
streaming sequence of MGED commands (entirely feasible and relatively
simple) or write a simple driver. The latter wouldn't be very
difficult at all, but would be pretty low priority.

Cheers!

Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval
Try the new software tools for yourself. Speed compiling, find bugs
proactively, and fine-tune applications for parallel performance.
See why Intel Parallel Studio got high marks during beta.
