The "tops" command will list the top-level objects, which are usually the most interesting. Running "tops" on toyjeep.g reports that there is only one top-level object named "all". Running "draw all" displays that model. Running "rt" shows a nice ray-traced image of the model. The Geometry Browser under the Tools menu lets you explore the model hierarchy in visual detail. The Introduction to MGED at http://brlcad.org/wiki/Documentation covers most of the basic concepts. That should be considered required reading. Reading the documentation, particularly the tutorials, is necessary for learning how to use MGED effectively. You will not be able to learn MGED by simply exploring blindly. Cheers!
