i run fedora 28
i see brltty-speech-espeak in the fedora repo
if i install it
how to get speech with brltty in the console?
You need to tell brltty to use its es speech driver. You can do this on the
command line via the -s option, or in /etc/brltty.conf via its speech-driver
directive. So:
On the command line: -s es
In /etc/brltty.conf: speech-driver es
The eSpeak package is rather old, though, and is no longer being supported.
While it does work, you probably should be using the (newer) eSpeak-NG package
instead. To use it, install the brltty-espeak-ng pacakge and use brltty's en
speech driver.
