[quoted lines by Samuel Thibault on 2020/10/26 at 19:07 +0100] >Are you running brltty as another non-privileged user?
When I run brltty as root it works. When I run it as brltty it doesn't. Insofar as sound is concerned, the brltty user is in the audio gruop (for ALSA) and the pulse-access group (for pulse audio). Sound works fine for me with brltty running as the brltty user using eSpeak-NG. >The logging level doesn't change whether the file is created or not. >Perhaps your distribution is putting the logs somewhere else in /var/log >or others. I have both /run/speech-dispatcher/ and /var/log/speech-dispatcher/. No files in either of them. -- I believe the Bible to be the very Word of God: http://Mielke.cc/bible/ Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | WebHome: http://Mielke.cc/ EMail: [email protected] | Ottawa, Ontario | Twitter: @Dave_Mielke Phone: +1 613 726 0014 | Canada K2A 1H7 | _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
