Now I'm trying to get xbrlapi up and running - but it does nothing. When I
start it like this: "xbrlapi -n -v", watch that terminal and proceed to type
in another terminal, I see nothing logged. Or typed. Nothing happens.

That's even more odd. I assume you are running it in the same situation
as you would have when running the xbrlapi from your distrib.

Can I somehow provide more info?

To observe what it is actually doing, you can run it through strace:

strace -o /tmp/log xbrlapi -v -n

Samuel

I ran the strace command (see attached log). I did the following on my keyboard, as soon as it ran:

- Switched to the next terminal window (Ctrl+PageDown)
- With the braille input typed 'a' (dot1), 'b' (dot1+2), 'c' (dot1+4)
- Tried three times a backspace (dot7) and one enter (dot8)
- Switched to the previous terminal window (Ctrl+PageUp)
- Killed the call to strace with Ctrl+C

Thanks for your help,
Frans-Willem
