Hello Jason,
I just wanted to say thank-you for your help. I have successfully managed to do what you have said with a Focus 80 Blue. I however cannot achieve this with my Brailliant B 80. Is there a way to enter the Preference menu without a perkins-style keyboard? Currently I have UEB on the Focus and Computer Braille on the Brailliant. In the BRLTTY Preferences menu, change the Braille Variant to Contracted Braille, and remember to enable save on Exit. On my display, the command to enter the Preferences menu is dots 1-2-3-4 + Space (i.e., p-chord, if you're familiar with that terminology). If it is possible to change the braille table to Grade 2 UEB is there a way that I can switch between en-ueb-g2 and en-nabcc tables on the fly? Yes - on my display it's dots 1-2-4-5 + Space. Check the BRLTTY help information for your display to learn the commands assigned. Also, spend some time in the Preferences menu to customize BRLTTY as you prefer.
