I sent it repairing, it has a cells problem and an electric problem,
then changed the power board. Actually I have the same problem on
Android with BRLTTY. I will try this week-end with NVDA and Jaws to see
if I reproduce.
Your story below sounds like the device has hardware problems, like
sticky keys or perhaps a broken cable? We recently "repaired" an old
Vario 40 by replacing the serial cable, which had symptoms somewhat
similar to what you describe.
