Hello Dave, A capitalised V worked. I am running version 6.4. I think that is an older version so I will look to update tomorrow.
Usually, I only work on the command line. Usually in Arch rather than Ubuntu. But I need to use a couple of GUI apps for a specific project. Hence my teething problems. I think you may have a good point about Orca using a different LibLouis that is causing the problem. I'll investigate further and go down that road if the update doesn't resolve my issue. I have uncommented both en-ueb-g2 and en-nabcc in the /etc/brltty.conf and I've also checked the contraction table and selected en-ueb.g2 in Orca Preferences. I do appreciate your advice. I will update after updating to the latest version of brltty. I've noticed the issue is more random than I first thought. Brltty wouldn't introduce such a bug just because you're using the GUI. I myself don't use the GUI so I'm guessing - it may be that Orca is using LibLouis, rather than brltty, to render contracted braille. You mentioned randeomness. Is it possible that it's working when you're in a console window but not working when you're in a non-console window? -- I believe the Bible to be the very Word of God: http://Mielke.cc/bible/ Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | WebHome: http://Mielke.cc/ EMail: [email protected] | Ottawa, Ontario | Twitter: @Dave_Mielke Phone: +1 613 726 0014 | Canada K2A 1H7 | _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
