At-spi is actually mostly independent from the differences between x11
and wayland.
Interesting - the script for running it is installed for X11 only, and
runs xbrlapi, which I assume is X11-specific, as the name suggests.
The script then invokes BRLTTY with the AT-SPI driver.
Is there an equivalent script somewhere for Wayland sessions? I'm
looking for the same result: Orca has control over the braille device
except in the terminal, where BRLTTY provides the access directly.
If it's in the BRLTTY repository and I missed it, then I apologize.
