I agree with this. I have one of the early orbits 20 and orbit 40. The
orbit 20 is in the first 600 units made in 2016. It is still working fine.
The Orbit 40 was also one of the first off the line and it is still working
fine.

Subject: Re: [BRLTTY] Reliable braille display hardware?

Hello. I've used many displays over the years. Most suffer from
weak or broken dots after a short time, if not other issues. Six years ago,
I bought two Orbit Reader 20's.
Except for a battery issue with one of them, I've had no hardware trouble
with them what so ever! They have traveled with me around the globe and
I've used them extensively over the years. For pure hardware reliability,
they've been the best I've ever seen. Contrast that with the Hims Smart
Beetle, which I bought just before the Orbits. With very little use, I've
experienced weak and missing dots with it.

Hope that helps.
-Brian
