Hi, all, Apologies for a slightly off-topic posting, but I figured a community of braille display users might be a good place to ask.
I often take my braille display with me when I travel by air, carrying it on the plane with me. Every time I go through TSA airport security here in the U.S., my display seems to get flagged for inspection by the TSA agents. It's not a big deal. They check it out to make sure it's nothing that shouldn't go on the plane, ask a couple questions, then send me and my display on my way. It's just a mildly inconvenient delay for me and extra work for them. Don't get me wrong; I'm glad they're doing their job and checking out an unfamiliar object. This has happened with both a focus 80 and Focus 40. I often travel with one or the other. I used to leave the Focus 40 in my backpack, but that just lead to my whole backpack being flagged. Has anyone figured out a smooth way to get a braille display through airport security? Thanks, Keith _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
