In this type of situations, could BRLTTY write the error message to the
braille display – i.e. "Could not save to /var/lib/brltty/brltty-fs.prefs:
Permission denied"?

This would make debugging much easier and would not make BRLTTYless usable in
any way.

I don't know if there are other similar places, but if yes, my question
applies to those as well.
