That would be good in my opinion. It addresses a different scenario than a rectangular copy. Even better would be to have a PASTE command which supports transforming newlines to spaces. This way linear copy would always preserve newlines, but the user could have them transformed to spaces by paste action. I have not had any issues with rectangular copy/spurious space at the end of lines. There are two things which I am hoping for: 1) That CLIP_ADD would not separate the previous content of the clipboard with a newline. I don't want any separator character at all. 2) Bracketd paste. I don't know if this is feasible or not.
