Does the new code also handle pc keyboard input in Xorg / wayland to
control brltty functions?

Again ACK.

Thx for your work on brltty.
I use it for my daily work.

Regarding orca: The braille support needs some tweaks and one big issue
is that it does not respond for a second if you use line up or line down on
the braille display.
This happens because orca switches to flat review mode but waiting a
second is a bit anoying.
If the flatreview is active orca responds immediately.

One more thing missing is coursor routing functionality in orcas braille
support in terminals.

So currently brltty does a great job replacing it in terminals.

In brltty it would be great to handle pc keyboard events in Xorg or
Wayland Sessions.
I use brltty with braille and speech.
Controlling the speech part is currently only possible with braille
display not pc keyboard.

BR.
Halim
