HI Dave,
First thanks for the quick fix and thanks Samuel for the packaging.
INdeed I no longer test the upstream code as I test everything in Debian
unstable. It avoids the worst problems in stable releases of the distro
but I understand the inconveniences of this for the release itself upstream.
Anyway releasing 9.9.1 is not an emergency. I still use Samuel's
packages and they work fine. So we can wait for the next release
quitely, the system will update when it is packaged.
@Samuel: I dont have in mind the date of freeze in Debian? I guess it is
not for soon? I ask because it would be cool to release before it.

He confirms that the fix works, thanks!
Thanks. It's now been merged into master.
JPM: This definitely warrants a 6.9.1 release. How quickly do you need it? A
bit of a delay might be helpful just to ensure that there aren't any other
hidden problems.
To all: This problem was a symptom of a bit of carelessness on my part but it
was something I couldn't test for since I don't personally have every single
braille device model. This is exactly why - shortly before each release - I
plead on this list for people to test the latest development code. Without that
user testing just before a release, these kinds of problems will inevitably
alays sneak in. I'm far from perfect and benefit greatly from all of your help.
