I'm going to install brltty on Linux for a blind friend who is a six hour drive away. I'm a pretty competent Linux user, but not a system admin or programmer, and more comfortable with Debian based distros than RHT or SUSE. My friend is currently using a PowerBraille 80 with old DOS software, but has become persuaded to move to Linux because of the number of web sites he visits that now use encryption. I've RTFM'd, but still have a question: do I have to install anything other than a basic Linux server system with internet access and brltty? Thanks in advance!
