My reply from earlier today doesn't appear to have made it to the list, even though my Postfix log shows that it was accepted by Dave's server. So, at the risk of duplication, I'll summarize:
I was able to reproduce the problem with the earlier svn revision, where contracted braille was in effect and the cursor was to the right of the display window. With Dave's fix applied as of the latest revision, BRLTTY no longer writes beyond the end of the buffer, but when the window is advanced to the location at which the cursor ought to appear, no cursor is presented. That is, the cursor is absent until the display window moves to a different screen line, which is evidently another bug induced by the fix. A grateful note of appreciation is due to Dave and Samuel for their excellent, highly responsive and effective bug fixing efforts. As evidence that progress is being made, today I was unable to reproduce the crashes that formerly occurred following display powerdown, which strongly suggests that the memory corruption bugs fixed over the last week were responsible. _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
