Well, I did apt-get remove openoffice.org* on my test box and problems are fixed. On my new box it is using an older version of oo though, when this is upgraded will it be broken like before? I think this is what happened last time. If you run upgrade then can you still use firefox? (with alt d to get in the address bar?) (perhaps do a sudo apt-get install openoffice.org) first or whatever if you don't have OO, but if it breaks just do a apt-get remove openoffice.org* and your problems will be fixed. Also, the older version works fine on my new box, but in the apt-get upgrade openoffice and oo writer will be upgraded so I am worried this will break things from previous installations, like last night... :-) Thanks for your help, -- Daniel Dalton http://members.iinet.net.au/~ddalton/ <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
