Hi Hermann,

I'm not sure Rob is on Ubuntu, but anyway: If I remember right the "exit 0" 
line comes after testing the "brltty" (or something like that) variable. 
This variable is set in the script /etc/default/brltty. So the best way to 
handle this condition is to edit that file and change the setting 
"brltty=no" to "=yes". (Don't modify the name of the variable because I'm 
pretty sure I got it wrong.)

However, that's not the (real) problem because brltty is in fact running so 
the script is not exiting.

It's a good idea, though.
