I've come to the conclusion my problem must have something to do with vmware fusion, though I have no idea what the connection is or what to do about it. both my ubuntu and debian vmware fusion installs show the same brltty anomalies I've described in previous posts. But I have a dual boot macosx/debian setup on a ppc mac mini and just yesterday installed debian on my T23 Thinkpad which formerly held Windows xp, and brltty on both of those installations works beautifully. If anybody does come up with an idea as to what is wrong on my vmeare fusion linux installs, or if anybody has suggestions of testing I should do, please let me know; both of these vmware fusion installs of linux are perfectly useable except for the problem with brltty and I'd like to be able to put them to use if possible.
