Moty, you say braille display key d5 does not work under linux? Which firmware
do you have? Is a hardware problem present? What happens if you flip the
display's direction and key mappings by pressing d2 d5 when in extended menu
(using firmware v10 here)?
I will install linux on my machine and see if it works for me?
Dave, how could I generate debug info on this using brltty?

As you do know, I'm using a Baum SuperVario40 of Baum but I must say this:
The driver for baum SuperVario40 is not the same driver that used for
Humanwaredisplay.
Sure,, Baum is the company that produces these two displays but it is not
exactly the same.
for example, I can not use Baum supervario 40 with Jaws version 11 - the
latest one but the humanware display Briliant can sure work because it has
another driver.
I tried to install that driver for me but it does not work there.
I wish to ask here about the problem that I wrlte here of my Baum
Supervario40 that we can not use the display key 5 to read the text, any text.
display key 5 really does not respond, does not work.
I and anders, sent to you a log file and you saw it.
What you can do more for solving that problem with braltty version 4.2-1?
Anyway, thanks much for your support and hope that you do more here for
swolving that problem.

Yes.

It's a Baum display. Both companies sell them. The difference in name is just
one of branding.
