[quoted lines by Sebastian Humenda on 2010/08/07 at 22:23 +0200] >But after compiling BRLTTY 4.2, I can read in syslog: >Aug 7 18:36:22 crustulus brltty[6212]: speech driver not loadable: es > >Why can't I load this module?
That's because: >I also tried to build the module into the executable, but configure says: >configure: error: unknown speech driver: es So the "es" driver can't be loaded at run-time because brltty didn't include it at build-time. If configuring brltty doesn't recognize "es" as a speech driver, it's because it's not finding eSpeak on your system. Assuming you actually do have eSpeak installed, then it's either because it's in an unexpected place or because your system is missing the eSpeak development environment. Where, on your system, has eSpeak itself been installed? Can you check to see where, on your system, the speak_lib.h header is. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | The Bible is the very Word of God.
