Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, that organization has sugested a list of candidates, yet has not selected a standard. Furthermore, I have already invested a small amount of time implementing my own standard. I have a deadline on having a working prototype within the next month or two, so I would not be able to change things now. Furthermore, my devices are quite different from other braille displays(really, read the readme that I linked to, it's no longer than this email message) <https://raw.github.com/timthelion/FCHAD/master/README> so it is unlikely that even in the future, such a standard will be used.
Thank you for the information though, Timothy Hobbs > ------------ Původní zpráva ------------ > Od: Jason White <[email protected]> > Předmět: Re: [BRLTTY] brl_identify() > Datum: 19.2.2012 06:29:51 > ---------------------------------------- > There is (or was) an attempt to develop a standard protocol for braille > displays: > http://www.openbraille.org/ > > I couldn't find a specification on that site and all of the content is at > least two years old. > > If there is a spec, then implementing it on a new device would be good for > interoperability. > > _______________________________________________ > This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list. > To post a message, send an e-mail to: [email protected] > For general information, go to: http://mielke.cc/mailman/listinfo/brltty > > > _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
