Using 6606 I tried this change. I'm afraid I don't like it one single
bit. I appreciate all Dave's work as always, but this one is just too
high a cost. Using grade 2, when I push the Advance button on this PAC
Mate display the slowness of the dots to respond is very annoying. I
push the button with my right hand while my left hand is on the dots
and the slowness is noticeable. I also wonder about its impact on
using whiz wheels though I didn't test it rigorously.
The delay isn't of any practical significance I suppose, especially if
you're as slow a reader as I am, but I don't like the way it feels. I
did an AB comparison, leaving the modified version installed while
using run-brltty to run the re-repaired version and I could tell the
difference.
