You can pass through the real physical usb device (i.e. give it to the emulated system) by using e.g. -usbdevice host:0403:fe77 if your braille device shows up as 0403:fe77 in the output of lsusb. You will however still need to find windows drivers for it, so it won't change much in that regard.
