The current RefreshaBraille bindings aren't very good for brltty. This is because, at the time, we didn't have key tables yet and there was a need to design the bindings for use with a device (I forget its name at the moment) that APH was developing. Now that we have key tables, we can fix this. Perhaps I can work with you to do this. For now, here are a couple of things to know. The first is that you can find the current bindings in the file "brl-bm-keyboard.kti". The second is that the RefreshaBraille has been designed so that if you press the joystick, and then, while holding it, press a combination involving dots 1-6, you get the original Baum top key bindings. >Also, I wondered what the correct way is to run two displays on a >machine at the same time. it doesn't work to just put both displays >in the brltty.conf but I can start each one from the command line. Is >this the way to do it or is there a way to do it within the >brltty.conf? You can't specify more than one braille device in "brltty.conf". You need to explicitly run two (or more) instances of brltty. This can be done from the command line, or, of course, you can start the second one, also, as part of system startup. You can use the -f option to specify an alternate "brltty.conf" so that each can have a different default configuration. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | The Bible is the very Word of God.
