[quoted lines by Jason White on 2013/04/19 at 18:46 +1000] >The only applications that won't work equally well on a tablet, obviously are >those that depend on hardware features of a phone. With a phone you typically >get GSM for connecting to cellular networks, Wifi (802.11AC included in the >latest devices), GPS/Glonass for satellite navigation, Near Field >Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth. That's quite an assortment of radios in a >single piece of equipment.
Tablets can also support Bluetooth, wi-fi, GPS, and NFC. The only software a tablet won't come with is applications related to cellular network connectivity. As always, be it a phone or a tablet, one shouldn't assume that any given device supports everything. Each device should be checked out to see if it has what you would like it to have. This even includes such things as an external memory card slot as some phones and some tablets don't have those. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | The Bible is the very Word of God.
