Hello again! Sorry for the long delay on this topic. I have been forced to continue using an Alva display, since I had not have the time to look more into get up and running on the new Papenmeier EL80C. But now I have.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 now, so tclX and so on is no longer a problem. I have downloaded the source repository for brltty 4.5dev rev 5477. It all looks fine until I start the ./run-brltty after compiling it. 2013-06-11@10:52:27.934 another BrlAPI server is already listening on 0 (file /var/lib/BrlAPI/.0 exists) 2013-06-11@10:52:27.934 USB configuration set error 16: Device or resource busy. 2013-06-11@10:52:27.936 USB interface claim error 16: Device or resource busy. 2013-06-11@10:52:32.931 USB configuration set error 16: Device or resource busy. . . . . . . . What is this? Ubuntu have brltty pre-installed, but it is an older version 4.3 I think. Do I have to remove parts of that one first?
