I think you have speech working, so you can try this. You may have been half-way to the goal, anyway. Open Device Manager. You may have to tab once to get into the tree view of devices, ports, etc. on your computer. See if "unknown device" is one of the main branches on this tree. Open it, and press Enter on the node. You are in a tabbed dialog box. Once you have used the Tab or Shift-Tab key to get to the tab control, use right and left arrows there and explore the remainder of the dialog box, which will change depending on which of these tabs has been highlighted. One of these tabs will have a list of properties and values. If this doesn't come up undr Unknown Devices, you would have to explore the branches of the USB tree to select a USB device whose name looks like it is unknown. Hope this helps.
