For a braille screen reader, all the defaults tend to be all you need. The exception to this is spcifying the braille device if it's Bluetooth or serial since the default braille device is USB autodetection. >I"ve set the speech driver, or at least I think I have. I'm not sure if I >need to set it for espeak, or speech dispatcher. We can't tell you what you should set the speech driver to. That depends entirely on which one you'd prefer to use. >Like Kendell, it's monotone when it speaks, but at this point, if i can get >this console speaking, it'd make my day. Are you, then, wanting to use brltty as a speech screen reader? >Wrokign with f123, a manjaro based distro. I know kendell's working on it for >sonar, but I'd like to learn how to apply this for f123, too. I'm not trying >to compete, :-) It's not competition when more than one user is wanting to achieve a similar goal. In fact, combining efforts is often the most efficient way to go. >I just wanna see 'em both talk, so would like to learn how to configure this >myself, if someone on this list is willing to help me learn. Since Kendell's >tackling it, I thought of asking him, but Kendell, friend, I know you've got >yoru hanbds full with all you'e got going and don't have the time to help me >with a curiosity project. The truth is that all of us have our hands full. Not only with brltty, by the way. Some of us have families, some of us play in orchestras, some of us are dating, some of us have jobs that earn our income, some of us allocate time to religious involvement, etc. We all have full lives. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | The Bible is the very Word of God.
