The way of installing brltty on the Mac is pretty complicated. You have to get a special version of "screen," build it, then build brltty after that gets situated, and that's only the steps I remember. It'd be a lot easier if you just installed Linux on the Mac, although Emacspeak doesn't seem to be working as well on Linux as it does on the Mac, somehow. I've installed Sonar Gnu-linux on my Mac, and it works pretty well..
