hi

I've been trying to track this bug down for months, although I didn't know if it was espeak ng or brltty, I thought it was just my lack of knowledge and I was configuring it wrong. I've been trying to add console speech to the linux distribution I help develop, called sonar, using brltty but eventually had to give up, because manjaro, the linux distribution we're now a part of, uses espeak ng now exclusively for ... I think well over a year. If this can be fixed in brltty or espeak ng, whichever is the cause I'll gladly pick the effort back up again.

Thanks

Hi

Since a few days, espeak-ng is available in Debian testing and brltty's eSpeak
driver has been build against it. However, after a starting BRLTTY with this
configuration, I only hear a few characters being spoken and then the synthesis
is quiet. I suppose that something crashed, but am unsure how to debug it. It is
very likely, that this problem is related to espeak-ng, but since I'm not sure
how to debug it, I'd like to ask on this list where to start.
The issue is that brltty doesn't crash and hence I cannot provide a back trace.
All I know is that the synthesis stops speaking and doesn't resume.

Thanks
Sebastian
