What's the status on this ticket? Have we arrived at a decision with how to
handle it?
We could certainly fix it in pieces too by merging Jon's branch related to
deleting scripts before installing. That would fix a lot of people's trouble.
It should be a good time to do it now too since we're still pretty early in the
2.5 cycle.
Daniel, would you mind taking this on?
