Two exciting things to tell you about.

First, you remember a few weeks ago I wrote about this:

"KOCH Records released the latest compilation in its "ReGrooved" electronic
music series, "Beatles ReGrooved," on June 7, 2005.

So it is fitting to find 14 classic Beatles songs re-imagined and "ReGrooved"
by some of the biggest names in the electronic world on this unique and
fascinating compilation. "Beatles ReGrooved" is the follow-up to 2004's
critically praised and successful "Classics ReGrooved," which upon release
immediately shot to #1 on the iTunes Music Store Electronic Chart.

Featuring electronic kingpins such as John Selway, skylab2000, MystiQuintet,
EROS and Jay Atwood, "Beatles ReGrooved" will appeal to longtime fans as well
as aficionados of the chill out and down tempo scenes."

Well. it went to number ONE on iTunes and stayed there for quite a while.
Thanks to many of you for listening and downloading. Of course you can still
get the CD in stores, so grab one!

Number two...

Every few years I tell people about how we got the name "skylab2000". If you
are old like me, you may remember the NASA space station we had in the
seventies called "skylab". It was up there in orbit for a quite a long time and
taught us lots of great space stuff. One day, after some major problems, NASA
told us that space station "skylab" was going to crash into earth, but they
didn't know where it would hit! Yikes! There was widespread worldwide panic as
no one really knew where the 78 ton ship would crash!!!! People did all kinds
of crazy things to protect themselves against it. Ah, fun times..

It finally did crash in an uninhabited area of Australia, and we were all safe.
Thas was July 12th 1979, 26 years ago TODAY!!

Back here today, Dennis of skylab2000 is well out of orbit and is safe in the
studio working on new music, and actualy taking July off for vacation, so no
show news to report. Yes, there are shows in August, but we'll tell ya about
them later.

So, stay safe and look to the skies.

Lastly, since there's always new folks on the net, I'm gonna slip some quick
bio info in here for the folks who don't know about us. If you are familiar
with the band, thanks for reading this!

Mission control out.
