News Update:
November 10, 2005:
Nice month-long delay since our last news update... due to the chaos caused by
Hurricane Wilma, and the resultant 11-day power outage and CONTINUING loss of
cable & internet. I'm currently sitting in the office of X-it Nightclub, using
their internet connection to update everyone and do a little bit of promoting
for our next couple of events. It might be an entire month before I have
internet restored to my home, but I'll be coming here about once a week to do
promotions and keep at least semi-current on Euphoria Project business.
Sadly, due to the hurricane, one event (Sounds of the Underground) was
cancelled outright (due to power outages and damage at X-it Nightclub), and
another event (Return to Paradise at Lumonics) has been postponed due to
continuing power outages at their venue. Once power is back up at Lumonics,
we'll figure out a date for the replacement party, and everyone who had already
purchased presale tickets for the original November 5th party will of course
have pre-paid admission to the replacement event.
Our next party is coming up tomorrow night, Friday November 11th, and is
appropriately titled CHAOS. I must be a bit premoniscient with my party names;
back before Hurricane Katrina came, I'd pre-named a party called Velocity, and
that ended up being our Katrina post-hurricane party. Now we have Chaos, a
nice 3-room party (using the two downstairs rooms plus the back patio). With
this event we return to our former bi-weekly schedule with X-it, with a large
event coming up on Friday November 25th, a small party on Friday December 9th,
and a massive Christmas-themed party on Friday December 23rd.
That's about it for now. Just wanted to hop online and let everyone know that
Euphoria Project's still alive and kicking; just a little out-of-sorts due to
the hurricane action but bouncing back into shape and ready to come back
stronger than ever for the holidays.
