Not much to go by. I have done preciously little with extracts, so I have no idea of the red box. Bull sounds like a possible name... 2Kg of sugar sounds a bit heavy to me, likely to add a bit of cider-like taste and to reduce the head retention (quickly-falling foam). > I got close to 19 litres, total, and I was just reading somewhere, > that there should have been close to 24 litres, I don't know the > impact of this That will of course make the beer somewhat stronger. If the kit was aiming at 5% (including the sugar), you should get about 6.3% (5% * 24/19). If the instructions did not tell to use so much sugar, your stuff can be even heftier. > and the beer it self is pretty dark as you can see from the attached > photo, but also not clear yet, but the taste is good, and it doesn't > leave anything behinds in the glass, so it might be that this first > time, it will never make it to the bootless, but will be taken > directly from the tank, actually, Oh, try to bottle at least a few of bottles, and store them for a few weeks. That way you'll get some CO2 dissolved in the beer, and much better head. And the ageing will certainly improve the taste. Of course, if you can not wait, you will have to make another batch very soon! Best regards Heikki -- Heikki Levanto LSD - Levanto Software Development <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
